Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental, Social and Governance
At Karur Vysya Bank, Corporate Social Responsibility has been a part of its ethos. Even at the time of inception in 1916, the Articles of Association of the Bank had incorporated a clause that made provision of 1% of the annual profit for charity.
KVB continues to realize that CSR is not just compliance, but a strategic business initiative to achieve sustainable triple bottom line growth. We understand that well-meaning and well implemented CSR will build corporate reputation, employee engagement and efforts of the bank in finding out innovative ways to serve the people other than its regular business. The Bank’s CSR mission is to contribute to the social and economic development of the community as a whole and to establish itself as a responsible corporate citizen.
ESG has been the forefront of the Bank's business activities. We strongly believe the significance of environmental, social and governance aspects on the Bank’s performance and have been proactively taking initiatives in this regard.
