Functionalities:

  • To start with KVB WhatsApp banking, customer has to send a “Hi” Message to the WhatsApp banking number provided above by saving the KVB WhatsApp Banking number.

  • Response will be provided with a “Welcome Greetings” along with the Terms & Conditions. This welcome message within WhatsApp chat will have the option to “Agree” or “Do not Agree” the Terms & Conditions provided for KVB WhatsApp banking.

  • If the customer provides to “Agree” the system will respond with “Main Menu list” of options available.

  • Customer shall select the options and make use of the KVB WhatsApp banking service.

  • WhatsApp banking provides the option “to go back to Main Menu” by typing #.

  • An Optin message shall pop up requesting customer consent for receiving important communications from Bank.

  • If customer gives “Yes” for Optin then the system will consider the customer for Push Message and If customers opts “No” the system will respond with thanks message and system will not send any push message to customer but however customer can still use the Whatsapp banking Services.

Following are the Service Limitations applicable under the “KVB Whatsapp Banking” services provided:

  • Applicable only for CASA accounts having registered mobile number in CBS (including international mobile number).

  • Whatsapp banking facility is available to customers who have availed Whatsapp through mobile number registered with Bank

  • Applicable only for customers accepting KVB “WhatsApp Terms and Conditions”.

  • Not applicable for customers having their mobile number mapped to more than one customer ID.

  • CASA accounts other than the status of “regular” will not listed for KVB WhatsApp banking services.

  • Not applicable for Joint/Secondary account holders and CA customers other than SOW (Company ID) and PRO (Proprietor ID) category.

  • Only customer self-initiated (SMS banking & WhatsApp banking) account block request can be unblocked.

  • Only customer self-initiated (WhatsApp banking) Internet Banking block request can be unblocked.

  • For any issue/clarifications with regard to WhatsApp Banking, customers could contact Call center Help line number – 1860 258 1916

  • Our Bank WhatsApp banking is now enabled for only “Pull Message (Raise a request and get the response)” and not for “Push Message (Bank sends notifications to customers)”

  • Once the service chat is over, customer will be provided with option to “Exit” the Whatsapp chat and to re-initiate the chat then the “Hi” message to be provided by the customer once again.
